On 17 May 1990 the World Health Organization (WHO) removed homosexuality from its list of diseases. Since 2005, the International Day against Homo-, Bi-, Inter- and Transphobia is celebrated on this day. "As an employer, we are committed to diversity. For us, the acceptance of the sexual orientation of every individual is an important building block for a Just Society and respectful interaction with one another. We are glad that for 30 years now, this anniversary is being celebrated on May 17 and thus consciously setting an example.  Here at the IB, there is no room for hostility against people who are gay, lesbian or transsexual," emphasises Thiemo Fojkar, Chairman of the IB Board.
