The Internationaler Bund (IB) supports an initiative by the Association of German Educational Organizations (AdB), which is calling on the German government to provide more funding for the German-Polish Youth Office (DPJW). The funding rates for German-Polish youth exchange organizations had been cut for 2024.

The Internationaler Bund (IB) supports the initiative of the AdB to increase the government contribution to the German-Polish Youth Office (DPJW). In a letter to the German Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Lisa Paus, and various members of parliament, the AdB is calling for more money. The DPJW's funding rates for German-Polish youth exchange organizations have been cut by 20 percent for 2024 because the youth organization lacks the funds to support all projects.

On the other hand, the foreign ministers of the so-called Weimar Triangle - a loose foreign policy discussion and consultation forum of Germany, France and Poland - called for the strengthening of youth encounters at their meeting in Paris in February 2024 "to create a 'Weimar of youth'". "Young people must come together for this. We need additional funding for this," as the AdB put it in its letter.
